In vitro generation of AGEs (from hemoglobin incubated in fructose) when mixed with gold or silver
salt synthesis results in plasmonic nanoparticles.
The schematic summarizes the method used to reconstitute human hemoglobin protein (HbA0) in POPC liposome via a surfactant (NOG) mediated approach and Supported POPC Bilayer (SPB) formation with supramolecular structure of hemoglobin.

The antimicrobial ZnO/Ag/RGO nanocomposite coating offers a promising solution to combat Candida albicans biofilms, which pose a significant threat, particularly in immunocompromised individuals due to their resistance to treatments on medical devices. Microscopic analysis confirms the nanocomposite’s potent inhibitory effect by preventing cell adhesion and hyphal formation, while time-kinetic studies demonstrate its sustained biofilm suppression. Advanced electrochemical techniques, including Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) and Cyclic Voltammetry (CV), provide real-time insights into biofilm dynamics, revealing distinct time- and concentration-dependent responses. By integrating microscopy and electrochemical monitoring, this approach enhances biofilm sensing and inhibition strategies, offering a novel pathway for combating microbial biofilms on medical surfaces.
